A manufacturing RFQ should normally include part information, drawings, CAD files, material, quantity, tolerances, surface finish, manufacturing process, quality requirements, delivery requirements and commercial terms.
An RFQ is generally used when the requirements are sufficiently defined and the buyer primarily needs supplier pricing. An RFP usually asks suppliers to propose a solution or approach in addition to pricing.
