    About the Process

    What Is Plastic Injection Molding?

Plastic injection molding is a high-volume manufacturing process in which molten thermoplastic resin is injected under pressure into a precision-machined steel or aluminium mold. The resin cools and solidifies in the mold cavity — producing a finished plastic part with tight dimensional repeatability, complex geometry, and smooth surface finish in seconds.

It is the world’s most widely used method for producing plastic components at scale. A single hardened-steel production mold can run for millions of cycles over its lifetime, making the per-unit cost extremely low at volume. Applications span automotive under-hood components, medical device housings, consumer electronics enclosures, aerospace brackets, and industrial fittings.

At Manufyn, we manage the entire injection molding value chain from a single contract — DFM analysis, mold design, tooling manufacture, production, CMM inspection, and export to your facility in the US, UK, UAE, or Europe.

    Why Manufyn

India Pricing. Global Quality. Zero Compromise.

    1. Single-vendor accountability

You work with one Manufyn project manager — not a marketplace of unknown suppliers. We own the outcome from DFM to delivery.

    2. Internationally recognised certifications

ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485 — accepted by Tier 1 automotive and medical OEMs in North America, UK, and Europe.

    3. IP-protected production

NDA-signed vendor relationships. Your tooling and design files are proprietary and never shared across clients.

    4. English-speaking project management

Dedicated English-speaking project managers in IST and overlapping US/UK time zones. No language barrier, no middleman confusion.

    5. Supply chain resilience vs. China

India-sourced production removes single-country supply chain risk. Recognised tariff advantages in key markets including the UK post-Brexit and US import classifications.

    Injection Molding Cost Comparison

Indexed to US production cost = 100. Typical plastic housing, 10,000 units.

    US United States
    Base cost — 100
    GB United Kingdom
    ~90–95
    DE Germany
    ~85–95
    CN China
    ~55–70

Based on equivalent tolerances, certifications, and international shipping included. India pricing does not carry China’s current tariff exposure in US and UK markets.
