From Engineering Drawing to USA Delivery in 7 Days
How Manufyn manufactured and delivered 10 precision CNC machined aluminum components for a US robotics customer at just $6 per part.
Rapid CNC Machining for a US Robotics Customer
A robotics customer based in the USA approached Manufyn for a small batch of precision CNC machined aluminum components required for a robotic gripper application.
The requirement was for 10 components with a highly compressed delivery schedule. Manufyn coordinated engineering drawing review, CNC milling, dimensional inspection and international delivery.
The component was specified as an AD-100 Vertical Plate for a 2FGP20 OnRobot gripper. The drawing specifies Aluminum 1060, natural finish and an overall size of 1/4″ × 85 × 190 mm.
Small Quantity. Fast Turnaround. Global Delivery.
Robotics companies often require machined components in small quantities for prototype assemblies, testing, validation and early production.
For this project, the customer required only 10 components but needed the complete order delivered to the USA within just 7 days.
The challenge was therefore not simply machining the component. Manufyn had to coordinate manufacturing, inspection and international logistics within the same compressed timeline.
The AD-100 drawing was reviewed for material, dimensions, holes and machining requirements.
Aluminum 1060 was machined using CNC milling to produce the required profile and features.
The completed components were inspected using Trimos measurement equipment.
The completed quantity of 10 parts was dispatched for delivery to the customer’s location in the USA.

CNC Milling for a Low-Volume Robotics Component
CNC milling was selected for the component because the requirement involved a small quantity and a short development timeline. This allowed Manufyn to manufacture the aluminum component without dedicated production tooling.
Aluminum CNC Machining
The component was manufactured from Aluminum 1060 using CNC milling.
Low-Volume Manufacturing
The order consisted of 10 components, making CNC machining suitable for this robotics requirement.
Quality Inspection
Finished components were inspected using Trimos measurement equipment before shipment.
CNC Machined Components for Robotics and Automation
CNC machining is widely suited to robotics and automation applications where engineers need custom metal components, precise mounting interfaces and rapid development without committing to high-volume tooling.
